Stories to fill the room

Senor Suave, the MC at the Summer Reading Club finale in Dandenong Library.

-

Young readers dived into more than 3850 books over the summer holidays, as part of Greater Dandenong Libraries’ annual Summer Reading Club.

Under the theme of A Roomful of Stories, more than 380 primary-school aged children signed up to celebrate stories from all over the world.

They created their own books and book reviews, as well as encouraging parents to write reviews.

The event ended with a finale with entertaining MC Senor Suave at Dandenong Library on Saturday 1 February.

Prizes were awarded, including to each child who read at least 10 books.
