Grand finals a wash-out

TENNIS grand finals in Dandenong were aced by bad weather on Saturday.
The heavy overnight rain and persistent morning showers were enough to force the delay, or even rescheduling. of most grand finals.
Robyn Kent from the Dandenong Tennis Club said all six grand finals scheduled on Saturday were washed out.
“Some were changed to Sunday, but three teams will be back this Saturday to play their grand finals,” she said.
“Can you believe it? No rain for so long then it decides to rain on grand final day.”
At Springvale North Tennis Club, the B1 Ladies grand final was washed out, along with two other junior grand finals.
Club coach Stephen Sruk said all the cancelled finals would be played this weekend – weather permitting, of course.
