Police seek help over assault

DETECTIVES are seeking witnesses to an assault on a 30-year-old man in the Dandenong Plaza last month.
Dandenong Detective Senior Sergeant Terry Kane said the man was walking through the plaza on 7 September when he was attacked by two men who repeatedly punched him in the head before stealing his mobile phone, MP3 player and $70 cash.
Det Sen Sgt Kane said the two men were in their early 20s.
Information should be passed on to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

POLICE have charged a 62-year-old man with aggravated burglary and intentionally and recklessly causing serious injury following a break-in on a Dandenong home last month.
The Endeavour Hills man has been bailed and will appear before Dandenong Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday).
Police said the break-in occurred in Tarene Street, Dandenong South, early on 7 September.

DANDENONG detectives have charged a 42-year-old Skye man with recklessly causing serious injury after investigating an assault outside Dandenong’s Nu Hotel this month.
Dandenong CIU Detective Corey de Silva said police were still investigating an assault outside the Scott Street hotel early on Sunday, 1 October.
“There was an altercation between two people that resulted in one receiving minor injuries and another serious injuries,” he said.
“The one who received serious injuries went to Dandenong Hospital for treatment.”
The man is due to appear in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 4 December.
