FORMER Demons coach Neale Daniher will be special guest speaker at the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce’s 2007 Grand Final Fundraiser next month.
Daniher’s run at the Melbourne Football Club came to an abrupt end this season after the club struggled to find a victory amid an injury plagued player list.
His insight into the harsh world of AFL coaching, where coaches can be heroes one day and zeroes the next, will make for an intriguing topic at the fund raiser.
The Chamber of Commerce is holding the luncheon at the Freccia Azzura Reception on Springvale Road, Keysborough, on Wednesday, 26 September.
A sporting memorabilia auction, which will also include a 2007 model Ford Fiesta car, is expected to help raise thousands of dollars for the Make a Wish Foundation.
Chamber regular Jamie Sturgess will lay down the microphone and his usual master of ceremonies duties as former Sale of the Century host and pay television’s TV1 regular Tony Barber steps up to the plate as host of the Grand Final Fundraiser.
