Dream start on the breakfast menu

SATURDAY was a dream come true – or at least part of a dream – for Dandenong boy Allan Vince.
Star first reported on Allan, 7, in April, and revealed that both he and father Allan Snr shared a kidney.
Allan suffered from dysplastic kidney disorder, which means his kidneys shrivelled up at a young age.
Due to a lack of donors, Allan Snr was bound by his love for his son and donated part of his kidney to save Allan’s life.
It had been a rough seven young years of life for Allan, so the Starlight Children’s Foundation intervened to grant him a wish – and his wish was to meet pop act, The Young Divas.
Australian Idol star Ricki-Lee Coulter has since broken away from the pop group, but was at Knox Shopping Centre last Saturday and welcomed a visit from, and breakfast with, young Allan. Ricki-Lee and Allan shared breakfast, make-up strategies and a song on stage as she performed for shoppers.
Starlight Children’s Foundation spokeswoman Melissa Hay said the foundation was working on fulfilling the remaining part of Allan’s wish – to meet the now Coulter-free Young Divas.
