THE DANDENONG Residents and Ratepayers Association will protest in Premier Steve Bracks’ Williamstown electorate this month in opposition to the Melbourne 2030 planning strategy.
The DRRA is part of the Planning Backlash, an alliance of resident and ratepayer groups from across the state, pushing for change to the Melbourne 2030 guidelines that govern development across the state.
It follows Planning Backlash’s handing of a petition to Opposition leader Ted Baillieu in September at the steps of Parliament again in opposition to Melbourne 2030.
DRRA secretary Janet Cox said the rally would take place on Sunday 15 October at 2.30pm outside Mr Bracks’ electoral office in Williamstown.
