LPG leak prompts callout

SPECIALIST firefighters from Patterson River were called to Dandenong to help tackle a gas leak last week.
Dandenong firefighters were initially called to the Dandenong Show Grounds in Bennet Street where a car undergoing a test drive from a nearby repair centre began leaking liquid petroleum gas (LPG) from its boot.
The showground callout happened at 5.15pm on Wed-nesday 26 July.
When Dandenong CFA arrived on scene it called for help from Patterson River brigade which has gas flare-off equipment to safely eradicate the leaking gas.
