THE CITY of Greater Dandenong’s Children’s Services Unit is planning a special day for its younger residents to celebrate Children’s Week.
The event will be held at Yarraman Children’s Services and will feature Animals on the Move, giving children the chance to get up close and personal with some furry friends.
Last year more than 300 children, parents and carers enjoyed the event and council children and family services coordinator Toni Lawson said this year’s event should be bigger and better.
“This really is one way we can celebrate our children and to put on a day especially for them. With animal interaction, a sausage sizzle and a heap of activities, children and their parents will be entertained,” she said.
The event, designed for children under five, is on Friday, 28 October between 11.30am and 2.30pm. Phone 9767 0829 for more information.
