A HISTORICAL perspective of Dandenong will be discovered when residents take part in the Wonders of Dandenong Walking Tours.
Run by the City of Greater Dandenong Council, the two-hour tours – during the daytime – will take residents to key historical spots, and help them to discover local well-kept secrets.
City mayor Youhorn Chea said people often lived in the one place for a long time without knowing its historical and cultural background.
“That is what makes the Wonders of Dandenong Walking Tours so special,” he said.
“The free, guided tour showcases the very best of our city.
“Walkers will be taken through our bustling arts scene and retail heart, and also learn about Dandenong’s history and heritage.”
The next tour will run on Saturday 21 July, with another scheduled for Saturday 25 August.
Both tours start 10.30am and finish 12.30pm.
Tours leave from Dandenong RSL. For more information phone Grissel Walmaggia on 9239 5131.
