THE fantasy was alive at Oakwood Park Primary School this week with students and teachers dressing up as their favourite literary characters to celebrate Book Week.
On Tuesday the Book Week parade at the Noble Park school helped to promote students’ love of reading with a creative approach to celebrating reading.
Teacher Jackie Bedggood, who organised the event, said the school community had a blast celebrating Book Week.
“As a National Literacy Award winning school, we focus on creating excitement and passion for literacy activities,” she said.
“It was wonderful to see so many students, parents and teachers having fun with books.”
