Drummer heads for the Drum

DRUM virtuoso David Jones will make his triumphant return to the Drum Theatre and Town Hall to increase the city’s heart beat with his breathtaking performances.
David Jones is an internationally renowned drummer who has worked with artists such as James Morrison, John Farnham, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
He will perform at the Dandenong Drum Theatre and Town Hall on Sunday, 29 July at 3pm in his aptly named show, Kit and Kaboodle.
Jones’ set-up is not your average drum kit – his is actually two drum kits containing gongs, kalimbas, percussion instruments and Tibetan and Japanese signing bowls.
As part of the show, Jones will begin with an entirely disassembled drum kit, reassembling it throughout the performance and playing it at each stage to allow the audience to hear how each part of a drum contributes to the whole sound.
