POLICE are appealing for witnesses who travelled on a Pakenham bound train on Tuesday 27 December in which they arrested a man who was allegedly verbally abusing commuters.
The train left Richmond at 7.19pm.
The 22-year-old Dandenong man was arrested by an off-duty police officer at Springvale station at 7.40pm after getting on the train at Malvern.
He was charged with being drunk in a public place, indecent language, Public Transport Corporation offences, possessing cannabis and resisting arrest.
The man is 183cm tall with blond collar-length hair, fair complexion, thin to medium build and wearing dark shorts and a tee-shirt.
He was carrying a silver bladder from a wine cask.
