POLICE are calling for community help in locating a novelty weight scale machine stolen from Parkmore Shopping Centre.
The machine, which people pay to check their weight by standing on, was bolted to the floor where it was installed near the top of escalators at Parkmore.
But on 26 March between 5pm and 7pm, police believe the electronic scales were stolen.
Springvale Sergeant Geoff Straughen said the scales were valued at $3000, and were situated at the top of an escalator near Coles Supermarket on the rooftop car park.
He said the machine was bolted and glued to the floor, and it is believed someone may have jemmied or unbolted the machine to remove it.
Any information regarding the crime should be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
