DANDENONG firefighters were part of a large effort to extinguish a blaze amid hazardous materials at a factory in Carrum Downs last week.
Firefighters from Dandenong rushed to the World Etching factory along with the Carrum Downs, Frankston, Hallam and Narre Warren brigades.
They were confronted with several acid containers as they worked to contain the blaze to a couple of factory vats.
Firefighters on scene said none of the structure was destroyed in the fire, but some of the building suffered minor smoke damage.
The cause of the blaze is still being determined.
