ANDREW Ferrier grew up on a farm but knew his heart lay in the city and he wanted to go to university.
Raised in the small Victorian town of Birchip, the 25yearold accountant was named a Young Enterprise nominee at Wednesday’s Premier Regional Business Awards breakfast hosted by the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce.
Mr Ferrier works as a client relationship manager at MJC Partners in Robinson Street, Dandenong, and said he had many big plans for the future.
“I would really like to be a business development partner at a firm – hopefully MJC,” he said.
Mr Ferrier said he was pleased to be nominated for the award.
“It is good to see the youth of Dandenong being recognised at an event such as this,” he said.
The Monash University graduate said his parents had been supportive of his desire to move to the city and become an accountant.
“They never pushed us to come back to the farm and they are very happy that I am doing what I have always wanted to do,” he said.
