DANDENONG parents will be able to learn vital resuscitation, safety and general care techniques for their new-born babies as part of a new ‘baby club’.
Starting in November, the City of Greater Dandenong’s maternal and child health team will host a four-week parenting clinic at Dandenong Library for parents of babies up to six months.
The Saturday morning baby club will cover topics including life-saving infant cardio-pulmonary resuscitation training, safety in the home, tips for settling your baby, first foods and other general parenting advice.
The classes will provide an opportunity for parents who cannot make it to the council’s weekday groups to be included in parenting circles and keep up to date with the latest information.
The council says it is also hoping the sessions will give parents a chance to find out more about the services offered at the library, including a range of baby and toddler books as well as storytime sessions.
The Saturday morning baby club will start on Saturday 11 November at the Dandenong Library from 11am to 1pm.
