A TRANSFORMER fire at the Dandenong Show left some showgoers temporarily stranded in rides while local Country Fire Authority (CFA) brigades and power company workers repaired the damage.
CFA officers were called to Greaves Reserve on Saturday morning and said the fire was quickly contained.
Alinta power company crews arrived soon after to fix the wiring.
Several rides came to a halt during the power outage, and fire officers are still investigating the cause of the fire.
