James Wong, of the Springvale CFA, prepared a series of winter home firesafety presentations specifically designed for the city’s aged and multicultural communities.
The presentations covered issues relating to common causes of house fires, fire prevention, home fire escape plans, dead locks, heating and drying, smoke alarms and calling emergency services.
Last week, he was joined by firefighters Greg Milne and Neil Schlipalius for a seminar at the City of Greater Dandenong’s Springvale offices.
The audience was the City of Greater Dandenong’s volunteers who support the aged and disabled.
