DANDENONG Primary School students have taken a close look at Australian history from a different perspective.
Grades 5 and 6 students have prepared their own museum, titled Australian History through the Eyes of Children.
The museum features displays of artefacts and memorabilia, toys and clothing from a range of eras of Australian history.
It begins with Aboriginal children, and goes on to the convict era, life in the gold fields, Federation, World War I, the Depression, World War II, then the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and today.
Students also prepared a presentation for the younger grades which covered education, health and leisure time for each of the eras.
