Emergency crews clear a wreck in Springvale that left two men in a serious but stable condition on Sunday.TWO men are in a serious but stable condition after their car slammed into a tree in Springvale on Sunday.
The Toyota sedan was travelling along Lightwood Road about 6.30am when it collided with a tree.
Fire crews on scene said the car had wrapped itself around the tree, trapping the two men, both aged in their mid 20s.
Paramedics waited while Country Fire Authority crews delicately extracted the two men from the wreck.
After 45 minutes the men were freed and taken to The Alfred hospital, both in a serious but stable condition.
One sustained multiple fractures to his upper body, the other to his lower body.
