A SPECIAL quilt covered with images of Australian cultural symbols has been finished and will be sent to China as part of an ongoing relationship between Greater Dandenong senior citizens and their Chinese counterparts.
The quilt is the product of months of hard work by members of Dandenong’s University of the Third Age (U3A).
In November, Keysborough Ward councillor Roz Blades revealed the U3A was working hard on creating the quilt for a group of like-minded Chinese senior citizens who recently sent a hand-painted silk scroll to the U3A.
Cr Blades will help facilitate the quilt’s transport to China.
