Springvale Rotary Club president John WyshamTHE Springvale Rotary Club has thrown its support behind the Springvale Secondary College’s Great Victorian Bike Ride team, which will ride from Swan Hill to Melbourne later this year.
The team consists of seven students from years eight to 12.
Springvale Rotary Club president John Wysham presented team coordinator Ron Olson with a cheque for $450.
“This donation from the Springvale Rotary Club will sponsor two students on the ride,” Mr Olson said.
“It is through such generous donations that this trip is possible for our students.”
Mr Wysham said students taking part in the ride would be invited as guests of the Springvale Rotary Club when they return.
“We look forward to hearing first hand of their experiences on the Great Victorian Bike Ride,” Mr Wysham said. The ride begins on 26 November and finishes on 4 December.
