AN exciting journey around Australia kicked off in Dandenong this week with participants touring the nation in Walker Street.
The journey is an exhibition at the Walker Street Gallery based on children’s author Alison Lester’s best-selling title Are We There Yet?
The exhibition – like the book – tells the story of eight-year-old Grace who travels the country with her family.
The story is based on Ms Lester’s childhood and is a warm, heartfelt tale for both young and old.
Ms Lester was on hand to launch the exhibit with a little help from local kids.
Are We There Yet? is showing at Walker Street Gallery until 26 October, on the corner of Walker and Robinson Streets, Dandenong.
