POLICE seized almost $1.4 million in cash from a Dandenong South storage facility following a four-month investigation in heroin trafficking in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
Police have charged seven people with drug and firearm related offences after executing search warrants in Dandenong South, Lysterfield South, Scoresby, Belgrave, Ferntree Gully, Bayswater North, and Tatong last week.
None of the charged were from Greater Dandenong.
Police also found jewellery, glassware, 500 grams of heroin, a small amount of cannabis, a loaded semi-automatic pistol with additional rounds, capsicum spray and financial documents.
Senior Constable Matt Henry from the Croydon Divisional Tasking Unit said the culmination of the four month investigation would help slow heroin sales in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs.
