GREATER Dandenong mayor Pinar Yesil is inviting all residents to join in the Australia Day celebrations taking place throughout the city.
From Australia Day breakfasts to a concert at Dandenong Park, a variety of entertainment will be on offer to mark this special day in Australia’s history.
Cr Yesil said Australia Day was an important date for all Australians.
“Australia Day is not only a celebration of our grand history, it is also a celebration of the country we live in today,” she said.
“We come together as a nation and celebrate what it means to be an Australian.”
Celebrations in Greater Dandenong on Monday 26 January would include Australia Day Awards at The Drum Theatre, a citizenship ceremony at The Drum Theatre, an Australia Day breakfast at Springers Leisure Centre and a free concert at Dandenong Park.
