PRODUCT launches, minibike motoX displays, and celebrity appearances were among the highlights of the Australian Construction Equipment expo held at Sandown Racecourse.
More than 3500 people visited Sandown racecourse to view the 170 exhibitors who represented more than 300 leading brands in construction.
The expo is the largest event of the year for civil construction, earthmoving and the quarry industry.
Run over three days, between Thursday 26 and Saturday 28 February, the expo offered a range of machinery, tools and services all in the one place.
Event director Paul Mathers said the expo was beneficial for both buyers and suppliers.
“It provided the industry with a forum to meet directly with buyers and gave buyers an opportunity to see and compare all the major brands in one place,” he said.
This year celebrity visits by Craig Lowndes on the Komatsu stand and Jason Bargwanna on the Saferoads stand were major attractions.
Mr Mathers said the expo was very successful especially considering the current economic crisis.
“Many exhibitors have reported strong sales and a number of visitors have emailed saying it was the best ACE yet.”
