DANDENONG North resident Anna Finikiotou is breathing a sigh of relief.
Last month she contacted Star about the state of Dandenong Creek near Hammond Road, describing it as a “disastrous mess”.
Over six abandoned trolleys covered in algae filled the creek, not to mention the amount of rubbish dumped nearby.
On Monday, during her usual walk by the creek, Ms Finikiotou said that all trolleys were removed.
“The water is so dirty you wouldn’t believe it,” she said.
“But the main concern was the shopping trolleys and now they are gone.”
