POLICE in partnership with Te Waka One Ocean invite the community to a free cultural event to acknowledge the Gippsland bushfire victims.
The young people who organised the event are part of the One Ocean program and wanted to do something for fire victims. They plan to donate sporting equipment bought with the proceeds to school kids.
The day will include police, CFA and SES displays, the Police Show Band, One Ocean Te Waka Polynesian youth performers, Morwell Aboriginal performers, African and Indian performers, sports clubs, personalities, prayers, face painting and an air castle.
It’s on Saturday 28 March in Bunnings car park, corner of the Princes Highway and Gladstone Road, Dandenong, from 1pm.
