Fire witness wanted

WITNESSES are being asked to contact police about a fire in Close Avenue, Dandenong, this year.
Detective Senior Constable Russell Church said that the fire was started by “unknown means” to the front brush fence of the property.
“Flames from the brush fence then fanned on to the front side window of the house causing significant damage believed to be worth $10,000,” he said.
“The CFA was called and put out the fire.
“But it seems that the person who reported the fire also observed a young female watching the fire burn.”
Police have released an image of a woman they want to speak to. She is described as being about 25, 162cm (5ft 4in), with medium brown hair and light coloured eyes and was wearing a dark coloured hood that covered her face.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Tommy Pietrosanto at Dandenong CIU on 9767 7678.
