DANDENONG Thunder retained its undefeated record on Saturday night in its Victorian Premier League soccer clash with Green Gully, but not in the way anyone expected.
A half-time floodlight failure meant the game had to be abandoned, when the scores were locked at 0-0.
As a result the game will be replayed in the catch-up round in July and from what was on display in the first half of Saturday’s game, fans can expect a high-quality encounter.
Both sides performed well in defence and there were few clear attempts, although Thunder captain Veton Korcari had a good chance, as did Gully striker Pablo Cardozo.
