TATTERSON Park is set to become a “World of Insects”.
By the end of September, children will be able to walk through the walking glass and take a ride on a lady bug, slide down the tongue of a dragon fly, climb inside a spider’s web or explore the life cycle of a butterfly.
Greater Dandenong councillors voted for the theme similar to Jack and the Beanstalk on Monday night at a briefing meeting.
Councillor Peter Brown said he couldn’t be more pleased. “Community opinion was largely for the Insect Park theme,” he said.
“But what also excites me is the educational and environmental value of the decision.”
Cr Brown said the park had to be completed by September 30.
