NOBLE PARK won its second match for the year against Mt Waverley, cruising to a comfortable five-wicket win with 21 balls to spare at Pat Wright Snr Oval on the weekend.
Batting first, Mt Waverley notched up a credible 9/157 off its 45 overs, but was well held by the Noble Park attack of Matthew Crozier (2/25), Marasinghe Perera (2/29) and Jake D’Atri (2/29). At 5/84, Mt Waverley never got going and did well to reach its 150 plus total.
In reply Noble Park’s Dean Edmunds hung around for a patient 69*(not out) and helped guide his team to a much needed win. Ashely Bradshaw was the next best bat with 18.
Noble Park heads off to Chirnside Park this weekend and will take on Werribee for its round six clash.
