100 long kilometres

FANTECH’S Frail Crusaders and Quantum Feet crossed the line in record time for the Oxfam Trailwalker on the weekend.
The Dandenong business had two teams in the 100-kilometre walk from Jells Park in Wheelers Hill to Wesburn Park in the Yarra Valley.
“We are pleased to say that the Frail Crusaders and Quantum Feet made it across the finish line in 29 hours and six minutes, smashing our record by three hours!” Frail Crusaders team member Christine Thompson said.
The gruelling walk was not without drama with one team member, Richard Jones, retiring at 72 kilometres due to injury.
The eight walkers said it wouldn’t have been possible without their support crew, Fantech and everyone who donated.
Fund-raising for the two teams sits at $6800, but with donations accepted until the end of May, there is time reach the $10,000 target.

All money raised goes to Oxfam Australia to support its aid and development work.
