WALK Safely to School Day is this Friday, 20 May.
The day encourages school students, their parents and carers to walk part or all of the way to school.
The initiative aims to promote a healthy lifestyle with 60 minutes of exercise for children each day.
Schools in Greater Dandenong are planning a variety of Walk Safely to School Day activities.
It is the 12th year the initiative has run, led by the Pedestrian Council of Australia with funding from the Federal Government’s Department of Health and Ageing.
