STUDENTS from Lighthouse Christian College have used lanterns to celebrate the spirit of hope.
World Vision Australia asked the students to create lanterns to be hung in Federation Square as part of the Melbourne Light Festival.
The students created the lanterns based on the celebration of different cultures and backgrounds and wrote their own statements of hope on each lantern.
The lanterns were attached to a sculptured pyramid created by artist, Bruce Ramus alongside lanterns from other schools and churches around Victoria.
The lanterns were hung on Monday 6 June and will be on display throughout the month at Federation Square.
