Firm’s drive to excel in civil construction pays dividends

THE construction company responsible for the upgrade to Dandenong’s main thoroughfare has won a top industry award for its hard work.
Canteri Bros Constructions was ann-ounced the winner for Excellence in Civil Construction for its involvement in the Revitalising Central Dandenong (RCD) project at the awards night on Friday.
The firm’s construction manager Sugan Blanchard said the works on Lonsdale and Langhorne streets were a major component of the RCD project.
“Canteri Bros Constructions feels the award is a just reward for an outstanding project,” he said.
“It is a contemporary and vibrant showcase of the new Dandenong.”
The upgrade and realignment of Lonsdale Street provided improved accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists, buses and other vehicles and the new transport hub on Langhorne Street improved bus movements.
Master Builders executive director Brian Welch said the upgrades added much to the Dandenong Community.
“The Canteri Bros Constructions’ work on revitalising central Dandenong has also contributed much to that local community,” he said.
“This civil project has created a valuable public space for Dandenong residents, workers and visitors to use and enjoy.”
