Armed robbery arrests

A POLICE pursuit last week ended a string of burglaries across the south eastern suburbs.
Three people were arrested following the most recent armed robbery, in Hallam, and the pursuit of a stolen vehicle through Dandenong and Langwarrin on Friday 13 April.
Police said two men entered the 7-Eleven store on Hallam South Road about 1am on 13 April armed with a knife and machete.
The men accessed the cash drawer and left the store with it. A witness pursued them on foot and saw them get into a stolen vehicle.
Police later located the car in Dandenong and were involved in a pursuit through the area before apprehending them in Langwarrin.
Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man in relation to nine robberies involving knives and a machete in Berwick, Narre Warren, Dandenong, Hallam, Ashburton, Wantirna South, and Mount Waverley since 25 March.
They were both charged with 16 offences relating to armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated burglary, and charges relating to the pursuit
A 17-year-old woman from Karingal was charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
The two men will appear before Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 25 May.
