Bomb hoax

.
THE Dandenong Hospital was evacuated after a bomb scare on Sunday.
The radiology department at the hospital received a phone call from an unknown man just after 3pm claiming there was a bomb at that location.
A few minutes later a female caller said she had receiving text messages from her boyfriend about the bomb.
The hospital was evacuated but no bomb was located.
Police are treating the phone calls as a hoax.
Detective Sergeant Miro Majstorovic said police were concerned that these type of hoax calls cause significant problems for all involved.
“We know the hospital already has resource issues and it has wasted their time, money and resources as well as the police who had to deal with this,” he said.
“It is an ongoing investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Senior Constable Tim Sullivan at Dandenong CIU or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
