Holiday fun at the Market

Kids of all ages can create craft projects at Dandenong Market throughout the school holidays.

  • Market Square, Dandenong Market, corner Clow and Cleeland streets, Dandenong. Friday 1, Saturday 2, Sunday 3, Tuesday 5, Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July, 11am to 3pm.


Dance for the Neighbourhood

Greater Dandenong Neighbourhood Watch will hold a fund-raising dance featuring ‘50s and ‘60s pop and country music performed by six-piece band Boomer’s Jukebox.
There’ll also be line dancing lessons and games on the night.
The community-based volunteer crime prevention and safety group will use proceeds to buy safety materials for residents.

Mark NAIDOC Week

Greater Dandenong Council will celebrate the municipality’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander links with a community celebration.
A local community elder will open the festivities, which will feature performances from Indigenous Hip Hop Project and the Jindi Woraback Dance Group.
There’ll be basket weaving, a football workshop with the Dandenong Stingrays, art activities and Indigenous games.

Combined Probus

NOBLE Park’s Combined Probus Club meets on the first Monday of the month.
The not-for-profit club is for retired people over the age of 55.
Members participate in events and activities including outings, coffee mornings, cinema trips and more.

Family fun at the library

PLAYING with Lego, chess, puzzles and games together can improve literacy, numeracy, spatial awareness, socially appropriate behaviour and fair play.
A parent or carer must accompany children to this free activity. Sessions are not held during school or public holidays.
