CORNERSTONE Contact Centre in Dandenong had a special visitor serving lunch last week.
Isaacs MP Mark Dreyfus picked up a ladle and dished out a hearty meal at the faith mission’s drop-in program on Friday.
“Cornerstone has been supporting vulnerable members of our community for over 20 years,” Mr Dreyfus said.
“Whether it is providing a meal, aid and crisis assistance or simply a place to get some advice on how to get back on track, Cornerstone is providing a vital service in our community.
“Visiting Cornerstone was a great opportunity to thank the staff and volunteers who provide this invaluable service and to hear firsthand from people benefitting from Cornerstone’s services.”
The former church in the heart of downtown Dandenong combines welfare assistance with drop-in social activities.
