POLICE charged a 19-year-old man with attempted murder over a glassing in Dandenong on Friday night – one of three stabbings in Greater Dandenong in the past two weeks.
Greater Dandenong CIU detectives said two men were arguing in Wilma Avenue about 8.20pm on 2 August when one hit the other in the face with a bottle and stabbed him with it several times.
A 45-year-old Dandenong man was bleeding heavily and collapsed due to his injuries before an ambulance took him to The Alfred in a serious condition.
Police arrested the alleged attacker, of no fixed address, in Shepparton on 3 August and charged him with attempted murder and intentionally and recklessly causing serious injury.
Meanwhile on 1 August, two neighbours got involved in an argument in Henderson Street, Keysborough, about noon.
A 39-year-old man is charged with recklessly and intentionally causing serious injury after allegedly using a razorblade to slice a 26-year-old man’s face along his jawbone.
On 24 July, police intercepted a vehicle outside the Dandenong Oasis Leisure Centre in Cleeland Street at 3.11am and the driver told them he had two stab wounds to his back.
