DANDENONG families visited the new community vegie patch outside the Good Guys store on Frankston-Dandenong Road and had the chance to grow their own fruit and vegetables and teach their children about fresh and local produce.
The store’s Create Good Food program is aimed at helping customers learn how to confidently use kitchen appliances in order to cook quick and healthy meals.
Customers also received dry ingredients packs and recipe cards to be familiar with cooking with new appliances and were involved in Jamie Oliver cooking demonstrations.
“Healthy eating and cooking in the home is something we advocate here at the store,” proprietor Allen Garb said.
“To coincide with our new range of in-store kitchens and the Jamie Oliver food truck, we are trying to give customers the best knowledge of cooking as possible.”
