THINK you could pull a truck? Then head along to the Dandenong Show.
The beyondblue Human Truck Pull is making its debut at this year’s event, at 7.45pm on Saturday 9 November.
Membrey’s Transport and Crane Hire managing director Craig Membrey lost his son Rowan to suicide in 2011 and has since thrown his support behind beyondblue, which provides information about depression to consumers, carers and health professionals.
Teams of 10 will battle to pull Mr Membrey’s truck over a set distance in the shortest amount of time. The winning team will walk away with bragging rights and $500.
This year’s Dandenong Show will also feature arts and crafts, beaut utes, horses, livestock, a motorcycle stunt show, fireworks and more.
It’s on at the Dandenong Show Grounds in Greaves Reserve on Bennet Street, Dandenong, from 9am to 9pm on Saturday 9 November and 9am to 5pm on Sunday 10 November.
Truck pull entry is $100 per team, including passes to the show for each member.
To enter a team or for more information, call Cheryl Collier on 0408 109 633 or email chez29@bigpond.com by Sunday 20 October.
