A TRAIN has struck and killed a pedestrian at Springvale Railway Station.
Police are at the scene, where a woman aged in her seventies tried to cross the tracks at Springvale Road about 3pm.
Witnesses have told police she was struck by a city-bound express train.
Emergency services were called but the woman died at the scene.
