Trafficking charges after raid

A SPRINGVALE man has been charged with trafficking cannabis and ‘ice’ after police raided two houses in Albert Avenue, Springvale, on 16 July.
In one house, Dandenong tasking unit police found 54 plants weighing 12 kilograms being grown hydroponically as well as an electrical bypass system to steal power.
In the other, a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine – otherwise known as the drug ‘ice’ – was discovered, Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton of Greater Dandenong CIU said.
The 45-year-old owner of the properties was charged and bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 14 November.
