Tips to handle the pressure

MANAGING stress and turning pressure into performance is the subject of the next South East Business Networks Women in Business networking function.
Guest speaker at the event will be Craig Taplin, CEO of Mentis Group.
Mentis Group operates around the globe specialising in helping individuals and companies perform at their best without the negative impacts of chronic stress and burnout.
Working with both local and international clients, Mentis apply scientific techniques and rigour to improving human productivity and well-being.
According to Mr Taplin, in a world of ever-increasing pressure, the ability to perform at your best is increasingly determined by your ability to handle pressure.
When stress levels rise too high, the ability to think clearly, make sound judgments and control emotions becomes increasingly difficult.
“The longer we stay in this elevated state, the greater the risks to our physical and mental health, which challenges our ability to sustain our performance over the longer
term and increases our risk of burnout.”
In this fun and interactive session, Mr Taplin will help participants learn some practical and simple techniques to control their stress response so you can be at your best even under the most severe pressure.
Learn to think faster, make better decisions and control your emotional responses for more productive relationships both at work and home.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn something new and take away a practical and valuable tool for use either in the workplace – or your personal life – and enjoy the company of your peers at the same time.
The session will be held at 255 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong on Thursday 9 October between 4.30pm and 6pm. To book phone 8571 1576 or email sebn@cgd.vic.gov.au
