SPRINGVALE Park Special Development School students are happy and healthy – and proving it.
They won first prize in the inaugural Be Healthy, Be Happy, Be Here wheelbarrow competition.
The council invited City of Greater Dandenong schools to take part in a competition promoting health and wellbeing through home-grown produce.
They designed and filled a wheelbarrow that promoted sustainability and healthy eating.
Springvale Park Special Development School will now participate in a cooking workshop with The Travelling Kitchen as its prize.
The competition coincided with the Jamie’s Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen’s visit to Dandenong during August, September and October.
Second Place was awarded to Dandenong Primary School and the Rosewood Downs and St Elizabeth’s primary schools shared third place.
Here and healthy
