Concerns held for missing man

By CASEY NEILL

A DOVETON man went missing in Keysborough yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Police are seeking help to find Thayaparan Kanapathippillai, who was on a group excursion in Fenland Place about 1pm when he wandered off and failed to return.
The 30-year-old suffers from an intellectual disability and police have concerns for his welfare.
Mr Kanapathippillai has previously gone missing and has suffered dehydration from continued walking.
He has an avid interest in trains and is known to frequent train stations.
Mr Kanapathippillai is originally from Sri Lanka and is described as about 172 centimetres tall with a medium build, dark skin, short black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green and white diagonally striped T-shirt and a yellow vest, and carrying a blue backpack.
Police urged anyone who sees Mr Kanapathippillai to call triple-zero immediately.
