Cool in a crisis

NINE-year-old Bhoomika Gundlur is a Triple Zero hero after diallling emergency services when her baby sister began choking.
Bhoomika called triple-zero for her mum, who was caring for Bhoomika’s baby sister when the infant started choking on her first day home from the hospital.
Bhoomika was able to translate the operator’s questions for her mum during the scary situation.
Bhoomika was presented with her Junior Triple Zero Hero award on Wednesday 13 May by Emergency Services Minister Jane Garrett and guest presenter, comedian Dave Hughes.
