The 17-year-old was walking down Paterson Road in Springvale South when two men confronted her from behind just before 9pm on Friday 15 May.
One put a knife against her neck and told her to shut up and hand over her phone.
She complied and the offenders, both wearing black clothing at the time, then fled east towards Darren Road.
The girl was uninjured in the robbery.
